At Mill Park Primary School, our commitment to providing high-quality education lies in recognising individual learning styles, effective communication, teamwork, continuous improvement, and the development of a sense of connection to the school and its community. We strive to inspire lifelong learning and equip our students with the necessary skills for life.
Our school values of Respect, Integrity, Compassion, and Excellence form the basis of our weekly wellbeing program, which also incorporates aspects of Respectful Relationships and School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS). We organise whole school events annually to promote and enrich home-school relationships.
Incorporating digital technology in all our programs promotes creativity, problem-solving and thinking skills, as well as enhancing our students’ abilities in the area of ICT. Our teachers continue to build their capacity to implement a rigorous approach to teaching and classroom management, which supports an engaging and challenging learning environment.
At the beginning of each school year, we establish a positive climate for learning through the “start-up” unit of work. Our ultimate goal is to provide experiences that enhance readiness and enthusiasm for students to continue their learning journey with confidence and resilience, regardless of the transition they may face.
We maintain ongoing positive relationships with local preschools and organise a transition program for kinder children over four weeks in Term 4. Our Prep and Year 6 Buddy Program is a notable feature that welcomes and inducts new students into our school community.
