Mill Park Primary School’s student leadership structure provides students with the opportunity to actively participate in decision-making processes at school. Students are encouraged to take on leadership roles in an endeavour to develop their own leadership skills, act as positive role models for the student body and offer responsible service to their school peers and the community.
Democratically elected student leaders represent the student body and their school in a wide range of forums at school and in the community to help shape a possible future.

Two House Captains from Year 6 are elected by their House peers from Years 4 and 5 for each House: Banksia, Bluegum, Grevillea and Wattle.

Student Council
The Student Council is elected annually by all students consisting of two elected representatives from each class in Years 1 to 6. The only exception are Year 6 classrooms, which have two representatives each.
Within the first meetings of the Student Council each year, two co-Presidents are elected from among the Year 6 representatives.
Learning Leaders
Learning Leaders is a peer tutoring program where year 5 and 6 students assist Prep year 1 and year 2 students in English, particularly reading. The program takes place during lunchtimes and has yielded great results, with enthusiastic kids eager to learn and grow with the support of their peers.
Sustainability Captains
Sustainability Captains from P-6, voted for by their peers, lead a diverse range of sustainability initiatives and acts mentors to their peers, directing a message of hope from within each and every classroom.
